Lok Carbon Hype 2
Lok Carbon Hype 2
The Lok Carbon Hype 2 is a padel racket developed for advanced players with an all round playing style who look for a balance between control, stability and accessible power. This model clearly doesn't sit on the extreme power side, but isn't purely control focused either. It is built for players who want to build up the game and accelerate at the right moment.
Within the Lok range, the Carbon Hype 2 positions itself as a versatile and technical racket for players who want to play consistently and don't depend on maximum power from the racket.
What type of player is this racket suited for
The Lok Carbon Hype 2 is suited to advanced players who can play on either side, provided the playing style is all round. Right side players who want to organise the game, play a lot of rallies and work with placement and tempo get a lot out of this racket. It is also usable for left side players who don't play purely on smashes but value variation and control.
For players who play purely on power and finishing, or who are after a distinctly diamond shaped racket, this model is less suitable.
Key Features
The hybrid to teardrop shape places the sweet spot slightly above the middle, which helps add power without losing much control. The balance is in the middle, which keeps the racket manoeuvrable in defensive situations and feeling stable on volleys and overheads.
The hitting surface is built from carbon (12K structure) and has a medium to medium hard blade feel. The blade is clearly firmer than fibreglass models, but less stiff than distinctly power focused rackets with a high carbon concentration. This creates a direct response and good precision, while still offering enough playability.
The core consists of EVA rubber, which provides a controlled ball exit and functional dampening. Comfort is present, but secondary to stability and control.
Playing Feel and Performance
On court, the Lok Carbon Hype 2 feels stable, controlled and versatile. In rallies the racket offers plenty of certainty and predictability. During attacking moments you can accelerate, but the power mainly comes from the player's technique rather than automatically from the racket.
The Carbon Hype 2 is therefore a sensible choice for players after a well balanced racket they can use to build up the game, vary their play and apply controlled pressure, without playing with an extreme or demanding power model.

Droplet rackets have a slightly higher balance and a slightly smaller sweet spot. This provides an excellent balance between control and power. These versatile rackets are suitable for intermediate players and various playing styles.
Diamond:
The balance point is towards the top of the racket and the sweet spot is even smaller. The racket is less maneuverable but offers maximum power. These rackets are suitable for advanced players with an attacking playing style.
Hybrid:
Hybrid rackets combine features of droplet and diamond-shaped rackets. These hybrid shapes are often difficult to classify or even completely new. Usually, these rackets offer a mix of power and comfort. These rackets are often ideal for intermediate to advanced players and are accessible for multiple play styles.

Blade
Smooth:
Rackets with a smooth surface provide players with a consistent and smooth hitting experience. This surface minimizes friction and promotes quick ball movement, making it ideal for players who prefer control and precision in their shots.
